Unlock FTMS on NordicTrack
NordicTrack and iFIT treadmills ship locked into the iFIT ecosystem, with no built-in way to talk to third-party apps. NordicFTMS lets them advertise as a standard FTMS Bluetooth treadmill.
Use this hub to install, update, or uninstall NordicFTMS without digging through one long page.

Why NordicFTMS
NordicFTMS is a free, open-source project we built to unlock NordicTrack and iFIT treadmills — especially the incline series — so they work with the apps you actually want to use.
NordicTrack and iFIT treadmills ship locked into the iFIT ecosystem, with no built-in way to talk to third-party apps. NordicFTMS lets them advertise as a standard FTMS Bluetooth treadmill.
Built especially for the incline series — X22i, Commercial 1750 / 2450, and similar models — so FTMS apps like PowerTread can drive incline directly. Zwift is also supported by emulating a Wahoo KICKR RUN over Wahoo DirCon.
No subscription, no account, no strings. NordicFTMS is a community-built project you can inspect, fork, or improve on GitHub — your hardware finally doing what you paid for.
Choose a Guide
Each guide below is focused on one job so the steps stay short and easy to follow on a phone.
Install NordicFTMS for the first time and verify that the treadmill shows up as NordicFTMS.
Open install guideUpdate NordicFTMS by uninstalling the current version and then installing the latest one.
Open update guideRemove NordicFTMS from the treadmill from App Info while the console is in privileged mode.
Open uninstall guideGeneral Process
After setup, pairing screens in PowerTread and other FTMS-compatible apps should show NordicFTMS as the treadmill name. If that does not happen, repeat the install once or contact [email protected].
NordicFTMS can also be used outside PowerTread. For example, it can let you connect a NordicTrack treadmill to Zwift and enable incline control by emulating a Wahoo KICKR RUN device over WiFi / DirectConnect.
NordicFTMS is free and open source, and it should work with any third-party running app that supports the FTMS standard. You can learn more or follow the project on GitHub. If it ends up being useful and you would like to support ongoing development, feel free to buy me a coffee 🙂
